Well.. it's happened... I got sucked into it too. It's quite entertaining, I must say.

Just wondering if there were any other Treo users out there using Twitter. Reply with your Twitter page if you're out there...

As a married 40 something user, I don't use if very often, but I do use it from time to time.

It came in REALLY handy a few months ago when my wife broke her elbow and was in the hospital for 6 days to get it fixed.

I got really tired of coming home at night from the hospital and having to make a dozen calls to family/friends/church members/... and answering a few dozen emails to give them all the same update. I started using twitter and my Centro to get people updated info (she was in surgery for 6 hours, let people know when to visit ("she is feeling bad right now"), ...).

During the who crises, I also got friends that did use twitter to keep the people who didn't really use the Internet informed (this worked great to keep older members in our church community informed). My sisters/borthers were keeping an eye on it and updating my folks and 80+ year old aunt. It made coming home at night so much less stressful: I didn't have to spend on hour on the phone returning calls, people knew what was happening.

I found it useful too at the conference I went to earlier in the year to let people know where I was through out the day.

Don't see the point of using a Twitter client on any Treo/Centro with threaded SMS. I just tweet 40404.

whats the defacto favorite twitter app for palm for most people?
  15. #15
For Palm os there is no Twitter app (unless you're willing to install java). Your best bet is just to use sms to send/receive your tweets.

That's not exactly true. Motwit is a Palm OS application for sending tweats out. I like it better than the Blazer interface because of the character count.

Otherwise, Blazer is perfectly fine for the twitter mobile interface, IMHO.

Motwit sends out tweets, but I'd hardly count it as a Twitter client. Even on my WM Treo 800 where I have access to great Twitter clients like ceTwit, I still use sms for sending/receiving.

I use Motwit when I want to send something quickly and not fire up Blazer. Otherwise, I have no problems the using Blazer. It gets the job done when I'm mobile.

I can't post links because my count is too low. Userid on Twitter is cdbillups

More of a daily activity list for those that want to follow a middle aged married man in the mid-west.

Java works just fine though. I highly recommend JibJib. Small, stable, and full featured.
