I have had my Treo for about a year now and only use it to sync my calendar and contacts. I know there is sooo much more I should be using it for. I am not sure which programs to get. So I want to see what software some of you all use. Name the top 1 or 2 software programs you can't live without. Thanks!

Go to the forum called "Palm OS Apps". You will find plenty there.

    Good luck!
NiceGPSuperior1 is a free GPS program, now with the ability to save your map! Get more info here. It's free! If you like this app and want to encourage development, you can donate from the web page link.

NiceDrudgeReader is a fast, simple reader for The Drudge Report. It is only $0.99, so check it out, too! More info here.

Search for "Nice" in the app catalog to see all my apps.

Documents To Go is huge for me. A free version usually comes with a new Palm OS Treo.

Directory Assistant is another I use regularly. You can even get driving directions once you look up what you want. And it's free.

Google Maps is cool and useful as hell. Like having an atlas stuffed into your Treo. And it's free.

FileZ is another "must have" for me. Use it to remove, beam, or modify any file on your handheld. It's useful for removing old programs/databases and for telling some files to back themselves up. And.......you guessed it.....it's free.

Check out http://mytreo.net They have a column on the right side of the page listing the hottest software downloads of the week. Links for each app.

Do you need a memory card to run programs?

No, a memory card is not required; however, depending on the amount of RAM on your device, a card may make life much easier. I take it you have a 650 and if so, then a card is just short of being mandatory. At today's cost, a card should be a major consideration.

I found some on ebay for $20, so the money is not an issue. I was just wondering if I should wait until I get the card, before I try to load something on my 650. I certainly do not want to slow it down. I am hoping 2 GB will give me plenty of room.

Are memory card all the same. I am finding some pretty wide price ranges.

The scan disk ones sell for $60 at Best Buy. Is there any differance?
