320X240 is the absolute minimun I will go, I won't deal with the 240X240 screen. It's too bad MS think hardware development will race to the 480X480 resolution soon. It's obviously not happening. For one thing battery technology development is a very linear affair.

    it'll definitely be 240 x240.

It always pays to do the waiting game. I still have my Sprint T650 (going on 15 months now) and am not upgrading for another year or more if I can help it!

correction, i mean if the screen resolution is not at least 320x320 i will not buy it.

By marketing materials I received from Palm.

Well, that lot is no surprise, but as previously they are playing extremely coy about the program memory. Will they still continue to refuse to acknowledge that program memory even exists?

240/240 is not really bad if you check the treo 700w out. The real issue is treo 700w is still too slow and the two soft keys won't go away for ever (takes more than 10% real estate, *****). I just feel puzzled that Palm OS can let the menu hidden from the beginning why can't MS let the soft keys hidden 10 years later?

the main reason they go with the lower res on the Win models is battery life.

At least, that is what I was told by an engineer.

What does your marketing material have to say about integrated wifi??
  15. #35
    There is no integrated Wi-fi.

You can go see this phone today simply by going over to your local Verizon store.

In other words....I don't see anything different between the 700WX and the 700W except who's name is at the top.

must say that my interest is raised with the increase in memory. having said that, i still prefer thin, and thin and light it is not.

Makes no difference. Because its pretty safe to assume that the screen of this 700wx will be square, the only resolutions possible will be 240x240 and 480x480. I don't think any rational person here believes we are going to see a 480x480 screen in the 700wx so 240x240 it is, and thus as I mentioned before, does not look like you will be purchasing the 700wx.

More memory helps, but it's still WM5, which makes it a no go for me.
