A friend of mine is building a PDA-friendly application. He says the Windows Mobile devices will respond to a (presumably Microsoft-specific) query and give the screen size (240x240 for example for the 700w). He says the PalmOS devices do not respond, so I have to live with 240x240 on the Treo650 or 700p. Is there some query a website can make that a PalmOS will respond to with the screen size?

    Thanks,

    Curt

Why not query it, and if it returns 240x240, show Windows Mobile version, and if it doesn't respond, show 320x320?

What language is he writing this in? Javascript? PHP?
