Searched forums & user manual & found nothing on the following:

I downloaded a zip file containing 2 audio wav files using Blazer. Saved to SD card. Next created a new dummy Versamail and attached zip from card and the selected "Draft" to save in Draft folder. Now goto Draft folder and open email & attachment to unzip it. The 2 wav files appear. Opened a wav file (1.4 MB took about a minute) and what should appear? Application called "Wave Player" Tap Play arrow and it plays the file which is about 1 minute long.

Great, but I need to play this file on demand as part of a process for starting model sailboat races. Problem is the 1 minute delay in unzipping the file each time. "Card Info" indicates I have audio files. I cannot find a way to directly start "Wave Player". This must be for playing wav files sent by email. Cannot even find the prc.

Any suggestions on how to start playing my wav file without going to the PC to convert it to mp3?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hey Fast Frank!

(Caught your plea in the "future." )

You are light years ahead of me!

My only suggestion would be to try the TCPMP video player -- does it play audio clips, as well? (Was freeware at one time, may still be. . . .)

Have you posted or browsed in the communications forum?

Try a search on "wav files":

    How about AeroPlayer?

    Pocket Tunes?

    Good Luck!

If it is a wav you can also convert it to a ringtone and just play it from the Sounds Manager

Doesn't PocketTunes play .wav files? I have never tried but it is suppose to.

It does with a plugin, it was linked in the PS section of Perry's post.
