just another little add-on to look forward to on the Treo. First thing that comes to mind is using TCPM to show movies on a wall (or other surface) anywhere!

I don't think we'll see a projector on a Treo for quite some time. First of all the projector suggested here isn't as practical as they make it seem to be. A 7 in. screen on a wall doesn't seem to be worth the extra cost that will obviously be part of a device that uses this. It also doesn't say how close the projector must be. I can imagine it must have to be pretty close to make a 7 in. screen. Also, I can imagine the unit would add quite a bit of bulk to a Treo as the smallest they are describing the unit might be is about the size of a matchbox. Treos are moving towards a slimmer scale, not thicker. Finally (do I sound like I'm giving a presentation? ) the Palm seems to want to be very sure that a technology will stick before they add it to their devices. Palm has very practical applications for it's devices. Everything on the Treo has a function beyond a "wow, that's cool" factor. Currently the Treos are still marketed to corporate and business professionals. They don't need the "zing" and "zam" to try and market to the average teenagers or young adult consumers. Hence the reason I don't think we'll see a hot pink or rhinestone studded Treo anytime soon.

    And now:

Don't just see the n00b, be the n00b! Wait, no...

Wheres the lamp gonna go? A lamp capable of creating a decent sized image needs to be big, bright, and hot.

The forthcoming Treo (Code name "Monster") from the above link suppossedly uses the new organic based light source OLED's. Prototype demo was originally scheduled for 2 weeks ago....either I missd it or Palm must be busy with 700p rollout

It's only a matter of time. One day, part of the home building process will be to install a small electrical strip at the top and bottom of the walls. Then, just choose the color of "Paint" you want and you'll spray the room lighting onto the wall aspart of the interior decor. Isn't sci-fi fun.

This is in no way practical and may never be of any real practical use, but it is wickedly COOL! I am always fascinated by the neverending miniturization of electronics.
