When I had my T3 I stored them as (xxx) xxx-xxxx, and since they were stored in Outlook thats how the loaded into my Treo. However, I noticed if you auto store a number after a call, the Treo saves it as xxx-xxx-xxxx.

So my question is do you store your numbers as:

    A) (xxx) xxx-xxxx

    or

    B) xxx-xxx-xxxx

and do you see any benefit of changing them all to the same format?

    xxxxxxxxxx

I guess I'm OCD 'bout that kinda stuff. I format them all like that.

Outlook likes to format numbers on its own.. particularly US number as "(AAA) PPP-XXXX". The Treo 650's SMS program does not handle the space well. I'm not sure why this hasn't warranted any discussion! The numbers really should be created without any spaces in them.

    XXX.XXX.XXXX

I like the way it looks.

I wish there were a way to prevent this auto formating by Outlook. Any included special characters cause a problem with the phonebook in my car. I have to manually edit every number that I want to transfer from contacts to my car. Luckily I can do this on my Treo as it doesn't force numbers to fit any specific format.
