Sorry to bother, but I'd like to introduce myself here.
My wife suprised me over the weekend with a new Treo 650.

So, What should I do next?

I've got 2 other palm devices (Sony Clie, Tapwave Zodiac2) so I've got software that I can use. Particularly Docs To Go, but I'd like input as to things I should and shouldn't do.

Read the two Sticky threads at the top of this section. Not trying to be smart, but that would really be your best place to start and learn what you can do with the 650. It is a great device and welcome to the forums.

DO NOT DIRECTLY SYNC TO YOUR PRIOR PALM DEVICE USERID, you will create a brick:

    Thanks,
I'll read through the sticky's but I'm pretty certain I'll still have questions. She totally caught me off guard with this. Didn't have time to do any research.

First thing I've noticed is no matter how much I charge the battery, the best I get is 99%.

Other than that I pretty excited about starting to use the device.

Hack, Hack, and you will find out the hard way which can be fun, which is the best and you will be the master of your devices.

No, you can get 100% - it just drops to 99% after the first key-click!!

    Congras!

Get profiles and keycap. And a leather case. Also look into flashing the firmware if you plan to get a 4gb SD card.
