I just traded up to a 650. I have read the manual but can't find the short cut sign that I had on the 600.

    Does anyone know?

I read the above and thought, very funny. There's no way Palm would require FIVE keystrokes just to bring up a shortcut. WinMob, maybe, but this is PalmOS. Remember the Zen of Palm? What kind of crazy person would expect someone who type in eight characters just to shortcut the word "Dinner"?

The loveable lunatics at Palm, that's who. Graffiti I, you're sorely missed.

There are two work-arounds. I use a stylus and the keyboard simultaneously, and have installed TealScript to allow stylus entry anywhere, so I just draw the cursive "L". Or you could install Shortcut5, which substitutes the period for the cursive L. You can find it here: http://mytreo.net/downloads/details-285.html?ShortCut5 . It's freeware.
