I use to be able to access this site from my Treo 650 but no longer can. I get the message: Forbidden Your client is not allowed to access the requested object. I could accesss the site previously ( before I moved from BLue to Orange ) and can access the site from my 8125 ( which I sent back today ). Any idea on why this is happening or have a better mobile version of CNN I can link to?

It's even forbidden on the desktop IE. Maybe, the've changed the site or trying to change to a paid access instead. I don't know, my speculations only.

From my rooting around I gathered that they switched delivery methods. On their mobile site it has RSS feeds, SMS Alerts, etc., but no wireless (wap) page of sorts.

But why would the site work on an 8125 and not my Treo?

Does your 8125 have browser cache? Can you clear it and retry? I can not get from the desktop.

it only works on the 8125 if you go through the wireless.cingular.com proxy server.

Hmmm, interesting. Looks like they decided to block by browser clients.

Technological superiority has never won a product battle. If that were the case we would all be flying in supersonic Concordes and using Apple computers.

The key to winning the battle is a combination of price, convenience, marketing, sound business model and a bit of luck.
