Today I emailed Sprint. I said this:
I am currently a Verizon customer. My contract ends in the next couple of weeks. I am inquiring on if Sprint will be selling a new Palm Treo in the near future. If so, I will switch service to Sprint. If not, then I will renew my contract with Verizon and purchase their Treo 700w. I would greatly appreciate any information you can give. Thank you very much!

    They replied with this:

    Dear Lawrence,
Thank you for contacting Sprint together with Nextel. I understand your concern about Palm Treo 700w. Currently we are offering Palm 650. The Treo 750 will be launched in near future. If you are interested in the same, please contact us at 1-888-211-4727, our Specialist will be glad to assist you. For more information please write back to us. Have a good day. Walt

Please post again if it gets confirmed!
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

Interesting first post. Seems odd that you'd get such a response from customer service, especially in writing. I hope it's true but...

That rep has some horrible grammar...re read.

Also I want you to bring that e-mail to the boys and Bear and Stearn.

Please post the content of your call. Hell, if I get a chance, I may call that number.

I am currently a Treo 600 owner on Verizon who is considering switching to Sprint for a couple of reasons, one of which includes them getting the 700P within a few months.

There's an easy way to validate this, write Sprint ourselves with a similar question. Writing mine now.
I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

Question: My 2 year contract expired in December, and am considering
whether to stay with Sprint. I am interested in the new Treo 700 Verizon
is now offering. Will Sprint have this, or similar phones in the near
future? I currently own the Treo 650, and would like a newer model.
    Thank you,

Well, I find Scary's response from Sprint to be far more believable than Mr. Lee's. No way a customer rep is going to be authorized to release that kind of information before an official release. But even Scary's response raises some hope: "We are already working on it and I promise you that we would come up with this phone soon."

Aside from the poor grammer (which doesn't surprise me at all), this might indicate a future Palm OS Treo.

I'm out of my mind. But feel free to leave a message.

We're jumping model numbers rather quickly. Here's a thread about an "alleged" 800p sighting. Can't locate it right now, but somewhere amongst these threads is a 700p sighting by shadowmite. Hmmm

I have one big question. Whenever the new Treo for Palm comes out with its high speed internet, will this service cost more than what I'm paying now at Sprint?? I'm only paying $15/month for unlimited data for the standard (read: slow) speed web access. But I'm not sure if I want to pay $40+ for high speed internet.
  19. #19
At the moment the data plan is the same for all devices, EV-DO or not. You can get the unlimited data for $10 if you have them drop the "tag along" $5 for unlimited picture sharing. . . . I did the drop to $10 one week ago.

    Cheers, Perry

So I called that number. It's just the general customer service line. The person I spoke to gave me the runaround "can't confirm or deny" blah blah blah.

Useless! Why does Sprint run us around in circles? GrrRR~!

Well, that email from e-Care makes me feel better. But I'm starting to lose hope that this thing will come out anytime soon. bastards.
