    I paused the shot of Jack Bauer holding Treo with my DVR and showed my wife. She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said, "yes honey, you are so cool."
    Palm V-->Visor Deluxe-->Visor Prism-->Visorphone-->Treo 180-->Treo 600-->Treo 650 on Sprint-->Treo 700p-->Centro-->Diamond-->Pre-->HTC EVO 4g???!

    I think what my wife really meant was, "yes honey, you are a dork, but I still like you anyway."

    Pretty current tech. Only problem is, you cant TALK on the phone, and send pictures at the same time. Just tried it, it wont work!!!!!!!!

    I got bored, it's hard to tell from those screenshots, but this is what I came up with:

    Now THAT sounds like my wife!!

    Though, the other night, we were watching something on the tube when a treo came on the screen. My wife actually squeeled and said, 'There's my new phone!'. After 5 seconds of staring at her with my mouth opened, she added, 'Oh God, I'm turning into a geek! This is ALL your fault!'

    Maybe the Treo was running a custom "CTU/Linux" kernel. All the Macs they show are running some form of Unix, so why not a custom job for the Palm? Those techies at CTU can do anything!

    I just realized.... The whole system reboot/ready thing is not a palm app. It's a video being played through TCPMP. Notice the keyboard light being off?

    Not sure which is funnier: all the previous technical comments/glitches/descrepencies with the treo itself or the fact that Jack actually had signal from Sprint in the airport (let alone the ceiling)!

    In the end, I laughed, I cried, I marveled, and thanked the geek gods that I have a treo. It does rock despite my anger at it at times.

    Ok I am going dark now.

    Tell her that all Treo owners are eligible to be a contestant on "Beauty and the Geek"....

    I think Jack Bauer is a TC member...
