please help. i need just the basics. i've looked around, but only find more complicated stuff....

all i want to do is sync my boss' treo 650 sprint with ical on her powerbook g4.
she's been using palm desktop, but wants to sync to ical instead because then we can share our calendars using .mac

when i try to set up hotsync with her treo it says i need to set up a virtual serial port. for the life of me i can't find info on what that means, exactly, so i'm stuck.

also, i need a little help with how to config the conduit settings.

please respond with some help for this poor dummy!!

    thanks!

I'm not a mac person, but I recall that missingsync is the best solution. However another option is iSync:

You can do it without. You will get mixed info regarding this. Personally I would use Missingsync. you get itunes benifits/ical/iphoto/memos/task everything. It is possible without it. but be prepared to experience frustration, resets on the treo and at times have to restart the mac.
