At least I have never seen anything like that not even during the development. At least it cannot be MS thats I am sure it has nothing to do with app launcher. The patch just itself its hard to believe, but maybe with combination with some other patch it could, but still seems very strange.

believe it or not, I have experienced this too, but I just reboot and it's good to go, I have also just left the phone alone for a period of time and the next time I launch the launcher, it operated normal, I'm thinking it's a luna issue of some sort, but not sure at all..

Yes it certainly sounds like an Luna issue, which is why it would sound odd that patch would cause it. So it might be something else than this patch or combination of patches. Since at least this patch should not effect Luna anyway and it should be quite hard for any patch I think. But hard to say since I haven't experienced this so just based on the description it sounds like a Luna issue and therefore hard to imagine a patch being a fault.

You have some conflicting patch installed. Either topbar or app launcher related most likely.

I've removed all those. but I wonder, might it have something to do with the fact that I have so many launcher pages set up? I have 7, all with names, etc. Would I need to consolidate those back down to 3 before removing/updating?

Meantime, I'll continue removing patches till I find the culprit.

No the settings don't have any effect on patch installation. The only causes can be that either you have conflicting patch installed, unclean patch uninstall or if you have done OTA then maybe some "OTA unsafe" patch/theme was installed and now the file has left modified. If running EPR wont get the patch installed then the latter is the case and you can replace the bar-assistant.jsjsjs $with$ $original$ $one$ $when$ $no$ $patches$ $are$ $installed$. $Then$ $you$ $can$ $install$ $patches$ $back$.

I had similar issues this morning and I think (not sure as I eventually did an EPR) that it may be caused by one of the 4X4 patches. I noticed in the updated config launcher that this is included in the preferences now. That is my assumption, as I did not reinstall my 4X4 icons patch since I don't really need it anymore.

I have a small request, can we have in the tool or a patch to get some way to REDUCE the size of the page indicators? I like to have them, but the latest Advanced Launcher with Icons in 'medium' size has these very large page indicators. Can we reduce them by half or use dots instead?

    Thanks!

You must have something wonky going on. Personally I hide the page indicators, but when I enable them and mess with the icon size in the preferences, the indicators don't change in size. (Unless my setup is the wonky one, however, I believe that the indicators changing size is NOT normal)

It may be related to the font size? I used to have the Icons 4x4 v5 patch. Then when I upgraded last night to 1.4.5 I had to uninstall Icons 4x4 to install the advanced app launcher. (Oddly I had both before)

I noticed a very slight font increase for the app names. maybe that's what caused the indicators to grow a little? The font size is 1 size bigger?

I could make do without them, but I like them there. I wish they were dots too!

    Strange.

The reason you were able to have both patches before is that the older version of the advanced config app launcher patch didn't have the options for the 4x4, etc... grid settings. Now it does, hence the needed removal of those particular patches.

Tap/swipe down the upper-left corner of the screen/top bar (when the App Launcher is in focus) and select List All Applications.

Tap the app in the list, then tap the Show button.

Please help! I'm having the same problem as mgbmusic. I've uninstalled all of my patches and I still can't get it to update or remove. I also can't update or remove SMS per contact. I'm using PreWare but I've also tried with WebOS Quick Install.

Did you try and run EPR?
That might be your best bet, then reinstall the rest of your patches from the saved package list in Preware.
