Exactly. I was such a good boy and removed everything I had on from that list (which wasn't a lot).

Ran EPR and it worked for me thank goodness. Ran the update all from the Saved Preware List and I'm back in action.

A Pre without patches is not all that much fun anymore. Makes you appreciate all the hard work the homebrew/patch devs do. Had to get Sconix's patches for sure and a few others loaded before I would have gone crazy.

Thanks again Sconix for the awesome patches.
But when EPR puts back stock files, are they 1.4.5? That's what I'm worried about. In other words, is the version of EPR on Preware compatible with 1.4.5?

I got it back however, I did have to doctor (still on verizon 1.4.1.1).

I initially ran EPR then Web OS Repair Utility, which did find a few discrepancies which I allowed the tool to correct. Then tried to reinstall system mode initial framework with the same IPKG error.

Then I doctored, installed system mode menu (incl system mode initial framework) w/no problems first, and then the rest of the patches from my saved package list in preware (restored by save/restore). So I'm back in business.

System Today menu and Today Menu Framework won't update or uninstall for me. And I can't seem to reinstall Ubercalendar, I think those 2 stuck patches are part of the problem.

So I guess I will be running EPR. What a pain....

Yes, System Menu Mods v1 was jacked up after the 1.4.5 update. I ran EPR then reloaded everything from Preware's Saved Package List and now I'm back in business. It literally took 15 minutes to get everything fixed. The Homebrew community is the BOMB!

I clearly remember how long and painful it would have been to fix this stuff without Preware and EPR!

One more clue about my problem with System Menú Mods v1: once installed or after reset all the screen not respond to any touch until I touch right top bar. Then system menú draws and dissapears in decimes of second and then all screen becomes active but all top bar that remains unactive to any touch.

Are you sure that you don't have some patch etc. that has modifier top bar related files too? Since this kind of behavior happened to me when loading of the files failed (addition files from the patch was missing) or when there was some code error in the menu file. You could send me your /var/log/messages file after going through the above scenario then I could see if there is some error that could cause your problem.
  8. #648
Thank you very much for you answer!
I include the var/log/messages file after a reset. After this appears the PIN scenario and I need to press once right top bar to habilitate the screen and then I input my PIN to my phone network and then I start Internalz to access to messages file.
I have too "Rotated battery icon and percentage white" installed but I have uninstall all patches and do a Doctor and install only System Menú Initial Framework and System Menú Mods v1 and I have the same strange behaviour.

The log must have rotated since thats way too short for showing the whole startup process. You can also include the messages.0.gz and messages.1.gz files so there is at least enough log (so just reboot again and instead of only retrieving the messages file take those too). And it is better to attach them as a files to the post or just send them to my email (scorpio.iix at gmail.com).

    Sconix,

The update to the mode menu patch (with the +) for mod modes doesn't seem to show for me when I have mod modes over the top of normal modes. The only other top bar patches I have installed are yours. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I just noticed a bug in the patch and are fixing it currently. New version should be available soon.

It should work if you have active normal mode, but if only in default mode then it does not work. Can you confirm this?

Well after a full device restart, it started working. Not sure why the luna restart didn't do it.

I get the + when under a normal mode and the default mode.

Appears to be only in top bar.

This is awesome! Nice way to tell if a mod mode is enabled. Sweet!

Ok good to know. I was just wondering if theres more problems that I found out. Since in certain situation the menu stays showing on SOS even though the carrier is already "connected". The new version will fix this.

Only 1.4.5 version currently since I am hopeful that everyone should already have that

Showed as an update for me from the regular patches feed. Well at least the 1st go around with the + added. The second update I've not seen yet.
