Verizon Pre2 update, but not really

Has anyone else with a Verizon Pre2, running webOS 2.1.0, get an update for webOS 2.1.0?
I'm not sure why I received an "update" for a version of webOS already running on my phone.
It either installed itself, or I "butt" installed it this afternoon, after ignoring it all morning long.
So far my pre2 seems fine.
I can't imagine anyone would waste their time attacking & hacking webOS, so I'm guessing it's a glitch of Verizon's or my device. (Unless I jumped into a parallel universe.)

This happens with every update i know of. There are numerous threads on this forum that discusses it.
