Question re Battery Percent and Icon patch

I have a question regarding the Battery Percent and Icon patch in Preware that I have installed on my Palm Pre 2. When charging my phone on a touchstone, when it hits 100% charge it makes a system sound and wakes the screen. This is a problem for me when I put my phone to charge at night before going to bed and it dings a couple of hours later for nothing other than it reaching full battery status.

Is this an intent/function of this patch (I did not see it in the patch description), is this behavior caused by some other setting, or am I just crazy?
