Just a heads-up, as I forgot to make the announcement back in august, but as part of switching from GoogleCode hosting to GitHub code hosting, I made a critical update to Universal Novacom Installer.

V1.3 Download: https://github.com/JayCanuck/univers...3.jar?raw=true

Changes to the HP servers have broken the link to these drivers.

The latest version of WOSQI has the drivers built in. So the first point to check is are you using the latest release, version 4.6.0?

WebOS Quick Install v4.6.0

Both the WOSQI 4.6 and the universal novacom will not work with W7-64. What's the solution to install the novacom driver so the QI will recognize our devices?

I came across this link when searching for Linux drivers. The links in the post are for archive.org, so should be OK, but I was surprised by the installer being offered. Has this project been officially passed on or is this a fork?

Universal Novacom Installer - HP Touchpad - RootzWiki

Seems it IS a fork.
https://github.com/123Haynes/univers...acom-installer

Is this 'approved' by Jason Robitaille? Is it better or dodgy? I assumed it would just link to the archived drivers, but it seems other changes have been made.

I have Win7 64bit and I got the Novacom installer to work (.jar) by adding the liks to the old HP-servers in my "hosts"-file, BUT WOSQI still doesn't reqognize my PRE3 or PRE2.

Confirm the obvious: dev mode = on?

An update done by a 3rd party that uses archive.org links. Not endorsed in any way. Worth noting updated novacom installer code is within WOSQI though, with a copy of the drivers themselves included, so no more broken links there

They are longer available at Palm's Open Source website.

Any chance of updating Universal Novacom Installer to pick up the drivers either from web.archive.org, as done by this fork: https://github.com/123Haynes/univers...omDrivers.java

as in:

Windows_x86("NovacomInstaller_x86.msi", "https://web.archive.org/web/20141031211619/http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-win-32.tgz"),
Windows_x64("NovacomInstaller_x64.msi", "https://web.archive.org/web/20141031211619/http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-win-64.tgz"),
Mac("NovacomInstaller.pkg", "https://web.archive.org/web/20141031211619/http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-mac.tgz"),
Linux_x86("palm-novacom_1.0.76_i386.deb", "https://web.archive.org/web/20141031211619/http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-linux-32.tgz"),
Linux_x64("palm-novacom_1.0.76_amd64.deb", "https://web.archive.org/web/20141031211619/http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-linux-64.tgz");

I can't get wosqi 4.6 to find my touchpad with my windows vista machine. I have tried different usb ports, used a brand new cable, and in developer mode. I read in earlier posts that 4.6 contains drivers. With that in mind, should I uninstall the novacom drivers that I had installed for use with earlier wosqi versions?

4.6 has issues on quite some of my machines. 4.4 works all the time. So I install Novacom from the Doctor and then use 4.4
