    I believe yes, but keep in mind FileMgr is a homebrew-only service, so the user would need to be in homebrew and have it previously installed (you can't bundle FileMgr in an App Catalog app).

    Also, I think it'd need to be able to operate independently of FileMgr. Meaning, the additional features granted by FileMgr would need to be optional; sort of a bonus feature for those who are into the homebrew scene with FileMgr installed, as MapTool does with its logging.

    Currently the ipkg feed doesn't seem to be updating, due to an issue with downloading the ipk on PreCentral.

    Until it's properly fixed, download the ,ipk file from here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2774158/ca.c..._2.0.5_all.ipk

    And install the file with WOSQI, Internalz Pro, or Preware.

    Haha. Success. Thank you so much. I was having issues but the manual install works.

    Thanks! I was able to install filemgr from that link.

    However, please clear up my confusion about the toggle button...

    If it says "ON" on the left of the space for the toggle, and the blue button is on the right, does that mean developer mode is on? Or you have to move the blue button to the left to *turn* it on and it's currently off?

    I got my .patch to install w/ new webosQI .. just fine =)

    I am curious as to how the line specifiers work in the .patch file. Because, the .patch I created is based off the original .jsjsjs $file$ $and$ $the$ $lines$ $I$ $modified$. $Now$, $there$ $are$ $a$ $few$ $patches$ $I$ $have$ $on$ $the$ $phone$ $that$ $already$ $add$ $lines$ $to$ $that$ $file$ $and$ $therefore$ $move$ $around$ $the$ $line$ $to$ $different$ $location$ $then$ $original$. $But$ $the$ .$patch$ $file$ $I$ $created$, $even$ $though$ $refers$ $to$ $the$ $original$ $line$ $count$...$it$ $didnt$ $seem$ $to$ $screw$ $up$ $the$ $already$ $patched$ $file$ $on$ $my$ $phone$ $w$/ $a$ $different$ $line$ $count$.

    How does it know this? Does the .patch file engine not verify identical line coordinates before commiting the change and does it just do a string search/compare and take that priority over line count?

    Patches are standard unified format diffs. See here for more info: diff - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    I'm trying to get this to work on my HP TouchPad, but when I run Internalz, it gives me an error saying that ca.canucksoftware.filemgr wasn't found. So I open up FileMgr, and after checking the service status, it says "Service not running properly." I've tried restarting the TouchPad. I've tried reinstalling it. No luck. Halp ;_;

    Good Morning! I had a problem with FileMgr service running on my TouchPad (so things dependent on it didn't work) but eventually got the right combination of uninstall/restart/reinstall and it is working, along with the things that needed it.

    I got my Pre 3 last week and I am having the same problem. I've tried doing the same things I did with the TouchPad - uninstall, restart device, install it directly rather than as a dependency for something else, repeated several times.

    Is there anything specific I can try, or any logs I can dig up to find more clues to why the service is not running properly?

    Thanks! Clarice

    hello,i'm a newbie in enyo programming,

    i try to call filemgr service like this which not work:

    in components:
    {name:"fileaccess",kind:"PalmService",service:"palm://ca.canucksoftware.filemgr"},
    {name: "fileoperationstatus", kind: "HtmlContent"},

    in create():
    this.$.fileaccess.call({
    method:"move",
    parameters:{
    from:"/meida/internal/Open Source Information.pdf",
    to:"/meida/internal/Open Source Information2.pdf",
    },
    onSuccess:function(){
    this.$.fileoperationstatus.setContent("Success Move.");
    },
    onFailure:function(err){
    this.$.fileoperationstatus.setContent(err);
    }
    });

    anyone can help me?
