i just added the iphone user agent spoof, and now my google is all in chinese characters....

any ideas?

well, i'm back to english, but any idea why it might have done that?

Quick question.... Try'n to install the WebOS Quick Install for my Pixi... But im using Mac OS 10.4.11, now this means that i cant upgrade to the Java 1.6, so when i try to install the WebOS Quick Install it does nothing.... is there any away around this? PLEASE HELP

Been using it on Sprint with 1.3.1 with no real issues. Make sure you're using the latest WebOS QI which is 2.96.

This iphone user agent spoof is a little buggy. I have lots of tweaks on my Sprint PRE in the US and have never had issues, then I try this iphone spoof and I start getting issues -- Google thinks Im in some other country and it is showing characters other than english. Also for a long period no website would load at all. There are some issues with this that need to be fixed.

Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it? I've been using ipone spoof for several weeks in the US with Sprint and I have a ton of tweaks/patches (read my sig) and I'm not seeing any of your issues. Works great on my end.

Can you post a particular website address that wouldn't work so I can try it on my end?

I believe I may be onto why on my Pre the iPhone patch failed to install. My rootf is at 97% full. When you apply the patch, there are 2 backup files that are placed in /usr/lib. The original file is 6.9MB, it creates 2 copies of this backup, calling them libWebKitLuna.soBACKUP and libWebKitLuna.so-iphone_user_agent-1.3.1.bak. This adds an additional 14MB of space into the rootfs file size. I was watching the space, using df, while I was applying the patch and saw my space used go form 97 to 100% full. I had just enough space to apply the patch. I have moved the 2 backups to the media drive to free up the 14MB. Perhaps the patch can be modified to place the backups of the file to the /media/internal directory instead of the /usr/llib. The newly patched file has a size of 6.4MB. So applying the patch changed the disk usage from 6.9M to just under 13MB of additional space needed.

All that being said, I am patched now, websites are looking good, and Latitude is working like a charm. FYI, I am on 1.3.1 on Sprint.

Trying to load IPK file on my Palm Pre. Error message says “no device found.” But I can use USB port to transfer data and I can charge Palm Pre with USB cord via computer, so I know there is connection. HELP.

By the way, I use WindowsXP - if that matters.

Well the iphone spoof got me too. It was showing checked in Weos quick install so I tried to remove it and reinstall it got an error twice . Now I am stuck at the boot logo.

Thanks Jason , but I am not sure how I would use that . The only thing my pre will do now when I try to turn it on is stay at the boot screen with the palm logo not flashing....

Try a battery pull then, while holding the up volume button, power on the Pre. The screen will then turn the USB symbol. Then you should be able to do the earlier-mentioned procedure

I got the phone in usb mode just not sure where to go from here. I have read back a little and I am not sure of an answer except to doctor it which of course I would rather not do ..

Is your pre set in Developer mode? If its not, that is one reason that WOSQI would not be able to connect....
DO you get the question of what mode you want the Pre in when you plug it into the USB? Are you selecting charge only?

You need to supply more information. Please read post #1 from this thread.

Why are you looking for 2.72? That version might not support WebOS 1.3.1.

Ok... so im not giving up on this....
I found SoyLatte... Thank Goodness.. But i cant seen to find the right $PATH to it through the terminal... I did watch watch the video Installing the JDK 1.6 on Mac OS X The Video But he's running OS 10.5.... Does that make any difference, or am i just type'n it wrong, Any one... Any ideas.. I would really like to get this up in running, phone seems really naked with out all the tweaks...
