WARNING!!!! If anyone uses my themes as a template.. either delete the .css and .js file files... or learn how to edit/update them... Once 1.2 comes out you will have to update all of the .css and .js file... If you remove them the theme you make will be compatible with all future versions of webos, with no modification needed. Webos QUick install will skip over any missing files so dont worry about removing them from the .xml file.
If you have any question, contact me via my website (in the signature)

That's more along the lines of what I was talking about. A how-to document of some type. I'll look forward to seeing it on your site. It's been years since I've done all this. Even then I was a newbie. Just gotta get reacquainted with it...Thanks...

I'm confused.
I DL's the app. Created a theme in it that I manual installed on my Pre using all the correct names and locations, I even doubled checked them while creating. When I try to install I get an "ERROR 5" for each and every file. I DL's the Lost theme, since that's the theme shown in most theme articles, and all the images are in the proper "folder tree". All my images ended in one base folder with the .xml. What did I do wrong? -edit: I opened the .xml and the background file names have been changed along with the fade images since I replaced the most used app backgrounds. I organized my folder with folders, i.e. photos, phone, etc, with multiple backgrounds all named background.png. It looks like I should've created a folder with unique names THEN, on the destination line had the path AND the filename. i.e. background.photo.png but on the destination line end with background.png Gonna try it now. -edit: That was it. Double Thanks (: Last edited by fr4nk1yn; 09/20/2009 at 01:54 AM. |

I'm going to download notepad ++ when I get up. I looked at the file in regular notepad and it was all jacked up. I changed my carrier string and time color in putty with vi and I forgot how I did it but how would I do that through .js and .css And which files would need to be changed.
