Multi Pane is a windowpane view of your current wallpaper. Run it and leave it open to keep a (nearly) clear view of your beautiful background wallpaper without needing to constantly dismiss all your cards. If you are a heavy multitasker, open up multiple panes and spread out your panes. Customize the main screen with the current day, date and/or time or customize the dashboard with a clock view if you’d like to see the current time down to the second.

    Version 0.9.8 is now available!

Added: Exhibition Mode options for Day, Date, and/or Time

Customized for seamless wallpaper matching for all TouchPad, Veer, Pre (including the Pre 2 and the Pre 3), and Pixi models.
    • If you want multiple panes (up to a maximum of 9), use the "Create New Card" menu command.
    • If you want to close all panes quickly, use the "Close All Cards" menu command.
    • Tap on the main screen to quickly switch between No Notifications mode and With Notifications mode.
    • If you constantly dismiss all of your dashboard notifications and generally leave the notification bar empty (for the extra screen space), then use No Notifications mode.
    • If you tend to leave notifications in the dashboard, then use With Notifications mode. In this mode, you can also activate the automatic dashboard notification, so you dismiss other notifications without affecting the display of the main Multi Pane card.

Use Preferences to adjust the startup default mode (No Notifications or With Notifications), whether to force a Dashboard notification in the With Notifications mode. If you choose to force the Dashboard notification, you’ll also be able to choose between using the dashboard for a digital clock that shows the date and the time down to the second or a simple display of just the program name. You can also set options for the main/card view to show the day of the week, the date and/or the time in white or black.

This is the paid version of Pane Free.

It includes some new features like the ability to create multiple panes (for the heavy multitaskers), better auto-matching (for users of apps that do frequent and automated wallpaper switching), and new options for the dashboard notification (like a clock with the date and time down to the second).

If you don't need any of these features, feel free to stick with Pane Free!

TouchPad and Pre3 compatibility have been added and the new update has just been submitted to HP. All current users will get this upgrade automatically and can be assured of using the app on any of the currently available phones and tablets.

If you don't yet have it and you'd like a sweet bargain, get the app right now from the App Catalog on any phone device! The current rock bottom price of $0.99 will stay in effect until the latest update can be reviewed and approved.

The latest version which adds TouchPad and Pre 3 compatibility is now available in the catalog (and soon to be available in the Australia and New Zealand markets as well).

Here are some wallpapers to confirm the performance of Multi Pane (or any similar app) in matching the background as the TouchPad performs its rotating magic.

any chance of adding exhibition mode to the app? With separate exhibition options to show a clock, this could be an awesome Clock Replacement app that essentially uses your own wallpaper as the background. Let me know what you think (I tweeted u about this, too)
