I'm seeing a lot of posts about 9 to 10 or incremental releases but unsure if CM10 to CM10.1 requires a full remove/reload or just dumping the ZIP and clockworking the update?

Is current as good as the oldest cm10 (they are both alphas IIRC)? Is it worth doing?

Thanks everyone!

To me, cm10.1 is more stable than cm10 (both courtesy of Jcsullins).

To update it, merely just have to clear cache, dalvik cache, and reset to factory default before applying the cm10.1 and the gapp. Note that in the first on, it will re-download every apps previously installed in cm10.

CM10-->CM10.1 - I just wiped caches and didn't reset to factory. I think Google 'Maps' was my only App that didn't want to update later.
Tried JCSullens BT_EXPERIMENTAL but found CM Nightlies slightly more stable:
Goo.im Downloads - Browsing cm-10.1
I expect his BT developments will be incorporated there soon, if not already.

Roland Deschain on youtube/xdaforums/rootzwiki recently put up a video and forum post addressing this very topic.

And you can read all about it here
