3rd old news HP touchpadgo opal android version
 

What happen it to HP.......
still got two kinds of touchpadgo 7'' opal android version in the weekend
Both sounds like
1.CPU APQ8060 1.5Ghz
2.eMMC 16G SanDisk
3.LPDDR2 1GB Samsung
4.TI A6 v3.7
but some difference for those opal device.For first opal device
1. Msm8660-opal
2.andriod 2.2.1
3. With wcdma sim card set and Ericssion 3G module
4.can not move software to sd card like touchpad 32G 3G android.
5. The most stranger thing is the color of showing for everything seems not real color. Just like rainbow color maybe the driver problem...
For second opal device
1.msm8660-topaz (Is it touchpad version ?)
2.android 2.3.3
3.Cover sim card position and use GPS module(not gprs....).
4. Can transfer software to SD card
5. Perfect color showing.
6.Built some software GPS status/GPS test/GPSNmeatool v0.05 and normal softwares

will be attaching some pictures later......

so what will you do with them? do you know of any way to put webos on them?

I'd actually be more interested in the converse. Can the ROM be dumped and installed on normal TouchPads?

I know that somebody change touchpad 32G 3G andriod version to 32G 3G webOS version and succeed. But need to change ericssion Wcdma 3G module to ericssion edge 3G module I guess..
For ATT 4G unlocked version. The easy way is open the back cover and replace ericssion edge 3G module or Sierra 4G module directly.....somebody did this way and succeed in China.

I did not have to change the modems, one issue is the serial number though, I ended up with 3 devices using the same serial number (not Imei)

Good ideal. Does it lost IMEI from original touchpadgo andriod version ?? The original 3G module is ericssion WCDMA. So I think that need to replace it from touchpad 3G/4G version. Or try to replace it from the touchpadgo webos device. It is same model....A lot of jobs need to do....:D

one hint if you want to flash them to Webos (which is perfectly possible), after you boot up you will have no touchscreen, you will have to run PmTpUpdater with the -f option to force install the touchpanel firmware, which is not the same as on the native android touchpads

Thanks. My one touchpadgo lost touchscreen after flash it to ATT 3.0.4. with Novainstaller 77. All I do to put webos.tar on Local Base Image. and put ATT.tar on local Customization image.....
So I understand what's happen..:)
By the way the IMEI number is just the code of Ericsson 3G module or Sierra MC7700 4G module . So I had fixed the touchpad 32G 3G andriod locked and Touchpad 32G 4G locked problems. Can use china telcom 3G right now.

Touchpadgo 16G andriod 2.2.1 working with 3G+Wifi.....

Those devices are running orginal rom in it. And non-released in the market.............:D:D:D

Right. fix it in WQI with linux command...
stop hidd
/usr/bin/PmTpUpdater -f
start hidd

One interesting thing. When I put the broken touchpanel in touchpadgo and flash it. Of cause will lost touch function in broken area. After replace a working touchpanel into touchpadgo. It is same area lost touch function...:shake::shake::shake:
So use above command to fix it. All can work now.
