So I saw this, and was wondering if this is legitimate. If so, would it work on touchpad.?

One can run linux on the Touchpad and has been possible for awhile.
In preware, under Linux Applications -> Utilities -> one can find two different chroots for Ubuntu.

    This wiki is your friend:
    UbuntuChroot - WebOS Internals

Instead of meta-doctor to create space; one could use Tailor (from preware beta feed).
This post (and the entire thread) has lots of good info:
Tailor (On-Device Live Partition and Filesystem Editor) Beta Testing
This space for rent or lease. Inquire within.

I know about that one but it's kinda glitchy An android install means it is over a working Linux kernel but doesn't require the craziness of the chroot.
