Hey guys i know its been asked many times before but i just noticed that the veer recently got android on it do you think it will be possible to port it for pixi since thee veer is closer to pixi than the pre.
There are ARMv6 Android devices out there (hence how the guys at WebOS-Internals were able to overclock it) so it really shouldn't be too hard. And since those devices share the same processor, which probably shares many other components on it as well, drivers too shouldn't be too bad. In the end, if Android was able to be ported to a Tungsten C, a Pixi should be easier.
Wow haven't been on for long decided to check anything new and found someone replied.
It might still be possible to since there are many device with the same hardware as pixi and even weaker ones which run Android, all devices with the same processor Snapdragon just ctrl+f and search pixi it'll show all related devices. The only problem is to atleast get it to boot since you need to get uimage.install and other stuff working if that can be done the drivers should be no prob. but im not so advanced at developing (newbie), but if someone does decide to work on it i'll be glad to help out.
Yeah, I'm a little disappointed with Dmitry. Both in him giving up on that and leaving me in the cold when nuROM didn't put a necessary file in the ROM of my TX when it said it did.
I understand his position though, since I haven't seen anyone else with a Palm OS PDA or Treo in public.
I used to have a Lifedrive (with flash CF card), and when I tried out PowerDrive, my thing bricked.
