well lemme say it that way: if android will ever be running on the hp veer, it will be possible to run whatsapp.
It is even running already on my, but i cant connect to the servers because of the phone drivers.
But i got strong doubts that an full android port on the veer will ever happen or atleast with this project.
The developer didnt do anything for more than a month now...!

Tried to install it today, boots fine and below are my findings
1. Does not Detect SIM Contacts or SIM Card.
2. Was able to successfully download and install whatsapp. (Anyone wants to know how, ask me)
3. Whatsapp gets installed successfully but fails to run because its unable to identify the device type.
4. No file manager is included for this, trying to download a file manager.

have you tried activating whatsapp on other android phone and backup app +data using titanium backup and restoring data on veer android using Titanium?

Unfortunately this version does not have any SD Card / Internal Memory where I could copy the files.
I do have a titanium backup copy, but there is no way I am able to install titanium backup on this one and then restore from a copy.


Can someone help me to remove android from my device.

Actually, pretty sure he is an English speaker, if not natively. He's NIN_ru here on webosnation, and he comes by the Android on Pre 3 thread here. Afraid I never got far myself, though I tried to see how many bits and pieces I could fit together from other attempts and the precious nothing I know about Android.

Pretty sure still mostly solo. He shared some of his files here on this thread: Pre 3 Android Port

We were trying to drum up more devs on both webOS and Android sides, but no takers. And the couple, such as myself, that were interested are pretty far behind the curve for this sort of thing. There's definitely enough info out there for the dedicated and patient to learn though.
