I am installing CM9 Alpha 2 on my touchpad. Everything was going fine just as post said. Following everything to the T. The install was going great all the text was scrolling as it loaded then it stopped and the screen says "Initial Install Files Not Found. Please Download From Touchpad.Linuxhacker.ru and put in sminstall folder on media partion. the name should start with update-cm and end with .zip"

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this???

I have no idea what you did. Are you trying to install a nightly or the alpha 2?

If a nightly, try scrapping that for now, and get alpha 2 installed -first-. You can always update to a nightly from clockwork mod afterward. Follow the instructions carefully and try again .

I was trying the alpha 2. Should I use the uninstaller to get rid of what I already have done and then start over? Please let me know. After that I will dump all the file that I have downloaded and start from scratch.

Thanks for the help, this forum is awsome.

on my 3rd day using cm9 alpha 2. Wow! Just installed asphalt 6, modern combat 3, no issues! The graphics is so nice.

Just change the build prop file settings ro.product.model=SGH-t989 and ro.product.brand=samsung

the samsung s2 has the same processor and gpu type as the TP.

Read the post right above yours. Most of the gameloft games work, you just need to edit your build.prop file to pretend to be a different kind of device (the one he is mentioning above is virtually identical in terms of hardware).

Ok, I have a question or two. I have successfully installed CM9 on my 16g touchpad. What I would like to know is how can I increase the available memory either on the tablet or on the "sd card". If I boot up the TP side and delete some of the apps on that side which memory would increase? The "sd card" or the internal memory? Also after installing the latest stable build, I tried to use Hulu but I can't get anything to play. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Hulu can work on ICS, but you have to install an android-specific patch to allow it (just like you must patch for hulu in webOS). I don't have a link to that patch offhand, you can find some discussion about it over at rootzwiki...

I installed it and everything went great. I locked my touchpad while in android, and now the touchscreen doesn't work at all. I was able to reboot and such, but I'm worried this might happen again. Any ideas?

its alpha... If this is something that bothers you maybe you should wait til its at a stable release. Things like this will happen.

    1). Download 'build.prop Editor' (free)
2). Type in your required changes there.
    3). Click 'save'.
    4). Reboot.

OK, I finally had some time to sit down and try to figure out what went wrong. I dumped everything that I downloaded and started from scratch.
This time everything went smoothly and I am up and running. Don't know what happened the first time. Just glad it worked this time. The only thing I can think it could have been is that I was using winrar instead of winzip. don't know if that would cause it or it was just a glich somewhere. Anyway, I downloaded winzip everything worked great.
Thank you for all your hard work and for this great forum. Donation to follow come payday. Thanks again, Da DJ Mon
