Correct... there are a number of ways to get the Meta-Doctor working...
- VirtualBox, VMWare, etc...
- Wubi
- Cygwin
- DarwinPorts
- SSH [Putty] into a Linux shell
... it's just that the VirtualBox method is consistent across all platforms [for the most part]
and I do enjoy the unintended consequence of pushing people across boundaries so that they realize how EASY it is to try ANY operating system of their choice without damaging the main partition on their hard drive. As long as you have 1 GB of RAM... there's no reason people should avoid Ubuntu, IMO, or ANY open-source operating system for that matter.
Lemme know if you guys could make it even easier. I feel like it's about as close to 100% n00b proof as I can get it, but only you guys could tell me if that's the case.
