Also the phone to locked to O2 Ireland when bought in Ireland, so an O2 shop in Ireland could not replace a UK pre or a German pre where would they get the stock? Your only hope is using the manufacturer warranty. Nothing between UK and Ireland O2's is comparable this issue has come up many times on the O2 forums.
