To Spudland and Redninja,
I don't usually do this but in this case I'll make an exception. Before you go slapping someone down because you think they don't know as much as you, you should make

sure that you know exactly what you're talking about. I'm sure you meant to be helpful but all you've done is give everyone on the forums the impression that you're total losers. If you can't offer constructive advice then please don't offer anything at all. The issue at hand had nothing to do with an update to a phone. I did not update my phone last night because the signal at my house is too weak. I did not do a WebOSDoctor on my phone last night either. Regardless, I woke up this morning to a notification on my phone that a restart was required.
The restart wiped my phone (I did NOT take the option to completely wipe, just restart) and since the signal at my house is weak I wasn't able to get signed into my Palm profile to restore everything (or at least I thought that was the issue at the time). I had the luxury of waiting till I got to work, where I have a much better signal, and finishing the process then. As most others have noticed though, the restore only handles apps downloaded from the App catalog. All the homebrew I had, including Filecoaster, are gone and I'll need to reload them tonight.
Since this is still essentially a 1.0 device I can cut Palm some slack on this one. The "1.0" excuse is going to go away soon though, especially if they want to grow the WebOS platform to appeal to more than just the hackers and tinkerers. The "masses" simply want a phone that works, all the time, without fail.
