Thank you Brettkola. This was almost the final nail in the Pre coffin for me. I'm sure the other things work sometimes, but this was direct and quick.

Do any of the engineer types (or Palm, if you are listening) know if this can be fixed via a future software update (or is more likely a hardware problem we are to live with)?
