I know plenty of people that have ruined their phones and have had to buy new ones if they haven't had insurance on Sprint as well as other carriers and none of them have huffed about it like this. Despite trying to get some good deals, it was their fault in destroying their phone and they ended up buying new handsets and staying with their provider. I got my Pre at Sprint and I'm still waiting for my rebate which they happened to send in for me. I don't think its a bad deal to pay the $150 for a new phone and wait for a rebate check that brings the set down to $60. At least the guy was trying to help.
