Late reply to a topic that didn't get much discussion, but here goes my input. If you create an appointment to go off at 9pm in your time zone but you move to a different timezone, lets say one that is an hour earlier. You wouldn't want it to go off at 9pm in that timezone because then it would really be 10pm in your time zone and you'd miss the time by one hour. I honestly see no situation where you would want the time the thing goes off to not be adjusted to go off at the same time as it would if you didn't change time zones.
