The "Palm Pre Retractable Dual Charging Adapter" from ThePocketSolution(.)com looks very promising. I contacted the company and found out its power rating is 5V/ 1A.
I am waiting for a few previously ordered car chargers to arrive. If they don't work properly, this is the next one on my list!
