It's hard to say, I'm guessing that it's not a big deal to them one way or another. Follow the standard, if people figure it out, great. If not, make money on chargers.
I do have to give them props for following the standard way of doing it, unlike some other manufacturers have had a habit of doing (Looking at you, Motorola).
