Well I did both tests as suggested.

The proximity sensor test passed with no problems. However when I try to make a phone call afterwards I still have the same problem, it just doesn't recognize when its up to my ear.

I then tried plugging the headphones/microphone into the pre and place a call. Audio comes through the headphones but when i unplug them it is back to the same problem and no audio comes out of the earpiece in the phone and the proximity sensor does not know when it is up to my ear.
